This the last day of the first portion of the cleanse. Starting tomorrow the cleanse will no longer include milk chai, grains or nuts.
Ayurveda Cleanse Day 7:
Breakfast:
Milk Based Chai
Lunch:
1. Butternut squash soup
2. Quinoa Oatmeal Mix
3. Kale salad with beet and apple and mixed nuts
This lunch is very similar to yesterday's. However I made the butternut squash soup again. This time it was much tastier. I didn't blend any cooked greens into base like yesterday. I used the minimal amount of water needed to blend the squash, and I added 1/2 cup of coconut milk.
The soup additionally has carrot and onion sautéed in ghee and everything spice. I add salt to my bowl right before I eat so that it doesn't denature the food during the cooking process.
I used the leftover kale salad from yesterday. Instead of having it cold, I cooked it on the stove and added nuts to it.
